Welcome!

I believe I have reached my account limit on my friendster blog so I am now continuing on by starting a new blog with blogger. after three years of maintaining that blog, it's time for change. After all, there's a lot of changes going on lately anyway -- new city, new home, new baby (soon enough anyway), new job, new friends, new everything, why not a new fresh start even with my blog?

Bluebacon. Just in case you were wondering, I got it from the name of one of my favorite restaurants in the Philippines. Actually I don't even know if it's still there. I haven't been home in eight years so therefore I haven't eaten there in eight years. Even if it's still around, I also don't know if the food is still any good. Regardless, it still remains one of my favorite restaurants of all time.

So anyway, this is just an intro, to welcome everyone to my new brain dump space. Be patient with me as I tweak this blog from time to time, as I learn to navigate through all the new features available to me. I hope to stay in touch with everyone and please feel free to leave comments and messages as I go through all my new adventures.

Because it wasn't enough that I came home late at night after choir practice, singing songs I don't even understand, I had to come home to this note on my door. Our effing tenant moved out of the basement suite and when he disconnected his cable and internet, he disconnected ours along with his. Book #4 - Night Terrors

Okay, getting my reading act together. I figured the best way to get me going again is to pick a really short book that I can finish right away just so I feel a sense of immediate accomplishment then it should get the ball rolling. Like I said, it's a really short book. I actually read it in half an hour and right away I was ready to starting reading a new one. I was browsing at the library and there I saw one of Sean's books again. It's meant for early teenagers so it's not really meant to be heavy reading, but what I like best about his books and again, with this one, is that he never ends his books with a definite ending. There's always an element for your imagination to keep going and exercise your own interpretation. I wondered at the beginning how scary this story line would be. It is after all a thriller. I would have to say that, there were enough haunting images. However depicted shortly, still enough to play with your mind. Not so sure the plot was ...

2014 Year End Review

I have time off. Right now. Actually two weeks of time off courtesy of my kind and generous boss who gave the entire staff a well-deserved time off over the holidays. Of course it didn't mean that I had nothing to do, in fact we've been out pretty much every day, doing fun stuff as a family. Pretty cool because I can't remember a time when I had this much amount of time off when I drew the line and genuinely did not think of work that I could be doing or the work that is waiting for me when I get back. So... stress-free (but not necessarily not sleep-deprived) mind = time to write. So here I am. What was 2014 like? In a nutshell, it was a direct result of everything I did and accomplished the year before. But this year, there were a few intangible things that came with tangible accomplishments that led me to realize that I'm finally beginning to mature about my outlook in life.
