25 Random Things About Me!

1. I never liked pink, but now I'm thinking of wearing it more because it's the one color not present in my closet. 2. I have a fear of live chickens. I had an athropology project in college where I had to take footages inside a cock fighting arena. I thought I was going to die. 3. I don't know how to ride a bike. 4. I've had a migraine every single month since I was 13, but it stopped since I got pregnant with my second baby. 5. I have a record of eating 26 pieces of sushi during lunch. 6. I am addicted to collecting different colored pens. I'm trying to stop. 7. I am obsessed with watches. I'm also trying to stop. 8. I have 70 pairs of shoes. 9. I can walk at least 5 kilometers for fun. 10. I can't jog. It feels too awkward. 11. I hate warm weather. 12. Soft-boiled egg is my favorite feel-good breakfast. 13. I didn't own a pair of sneakers until my husband bought me a pair when we first started dating. I only wore it so he wouldn't feel bad, but no...

School

Eduardo and I just got back from attending the orientation for the South Park School, the elementary school that we were thinking of enrolling Raine and Isabella to one day. I know it's incredibly early to be thinking of this but we got traumatized by the alarming rate of waitlists for daycares that we realized there's no such thing as too soon when thinking about our children's education, even if kindergraten is still years away. South Park caught my attention when I first moved here because first of all, it's a heritage site so architecturally I've always noticed it everytime I drove by. Also, it is walking distance from our home and is even more walking distance from my work, which makes the location very convenient. At first, since it is in my immediate neighborhood, I figured that we belong in its catchment and that by default Raine and Bell would be going there. But later on I found out that it's actually an alternative school with a high focus on art, whi...

A Big No To Sugar and Kids!

I've been so busy running around taking care of my babies the past few weeks. I'm seriously responsible for them now without any help from anyone during the day. With Eduardo starting his new job and still keeping his old part-time job, plus basketball referee gigs, he's really not around much. And when he is, it's the only time we can run errands. We're both crazy busy and tired but it's really all worth it since we're doing all this hard work for our kids. In the beginning when I started watching both kids by myself, I constantly had to play referee between the two of them. Ok, it's mostly just Raine, who I don't think still realizes that Bell is a person. He's been trying to figure out what she is exactly and what her threshold is by throwing things at her, poking her, hitting her, you name it. At first Bell would wail and wail whenever something hit her in the face or on her head, but now I think she's adjusting well to having things thro...

Resolution 2009

I reviewed my resolutions from last year and realized that I only had a couple and they weren't exactly rocket science, so yes I'm proud to say that I was able to do both of them. I didn't really set up that high a standard for me because I only had two resolutions which were 1) growing my hair past my shoulders, and 2) driving on the highway by myself. Done and done! For this year's resolution, I'm going to up the challenge a little bit hehehe... 1. No pregnancy or babies for 2009! This one really doesn't need any further explanation. I've been pregnant for two years in a row, give me a break! 2. No sex after midnight, most especially after alcohol consumption. Yeah, this always seem to result to babies for some reason. 3. Be able to swim laps by my birthday. Well... it's more of a goal for my 30th birthday which is this year anyway so I might as well count it as a resolution. I wanted to do something big to remember by 30th birthday. As much as I wan...
