As of Day 24 of the Year 2015 I've had more confirmation of my seemingly lull year ahead and the one thing I had planned on and was so sure of, looks like isn't going to happen anymore. Strike that, it's really NOT going to happen anymore. I tried to quit choir for the rest of the season but our conductor wouldn't let me. Apparently we're low on sopranos and he just really wanted me at the Spring Concert. Even if it meant missing 6 straight weeks of rehearsals. Flattering, yes. Daunting? Absolutely! I think for once that somebody else's faith in my cramming abilities just might be greater than my own! Other than that, I found out I won't be going to the Opera America Conference in DC this year. My boss planned on just taking a smaller team with the intention of saving for next year's conference in Montreal, where he plans to take the whole staff because our co-pro will be premiering there next year.  Totally understandable but the weird part was I wasn...

My first entry in the New Year is usually called Resolution 20-something, but I stopped committing to resolutions a couple of years ago. Doesn't in any way mean that I'm less goal oriented, I'm just way too busy now to come up with additional projects that I'd like to attain. So I decided that I will restructure my thoughts instead. I will do a brain dump of things I know will be happening and I'm looking forward to (or not), or think I know is going to happen, or speculate on expectations I think could happen or may have a high possibility of happening. 1. We're moving to our new office on our first day back to work in January! New building, new office space, new office furniture, new phone extension... I just really despise unpacking, organizing things and deciding where things should go.  2.
