Writing Crisis
I have issues. This past October and all of November, were two months worth of personal milestones and turning points so profound I should have been capturing every moment. But I didn't. Not for lack of trying but more of I couldn't. I have finally come to terms that I am suffering from a creativity block and challenge with expressing myself. So many emotions should have been flooding during this time. They were certainly flooding my brain but I didn't feel any of them. I left my job with the opera. With complete understanding that in order for me to have more time with my family and for myself, I would have to leave the arts for a while and indefinitely. I didn't even shed a tear. When I left my job at the museum I practically ran out of the building because I didn't want anyone to see me crying. I sobbed all the way home in the car. I left the arts.
