After 30 Days

So how did it go? Not bad actually. First of all the 21 day thing didn't really work out. Mostly because working for an opera company means you can't have a life and when I'm not immersed in my opera world, life actually happens. In both cases, neither are condusive to a strict dieting schedule. However, I definitely got the essence of the exercise. No pun intended :P Cutting the portions that I eat to a third of what I would normally consume, was mean and a very drastic measure. In other words -- torture. But I was the one who asked Eduardo that I needed fast results or else I'll lose interest and motivation.  The first week and a half was horrible. I definitely felt the hunger and I was cranky and miserable. I went to the gym and did cardio and weight training every day for two weeks. Then the pattern was disrupted by work and family events so I thought that was it, so much for all the effort I put in initially. Plus I tried to weigh myself and after all that effort, ...

21 Days

September 1st, 2015. A rainy day, temperature was as low us 14 degrees and it was actually chilly enough to wear a jacket when outside. It totally felt like the fall season has begun. Also, mark today as the start of my 21 Day Fix a la Eduardo. Let me explain. Have you heard of the 21 Day Fix diet? Everything I've heard about it keeps saying how it's not really a diet but more of a lifestyle change. Err... not really looking for a lifestyle change. My needs are practical. I gained 8 lbs from last year and I just need to lose it so that I don't have to go shopping for new pants, now that it's starting to get cold again. If I develop some healthy habits in the process, then great. But that's all I'm really looking to achieve. I tell Eduardo this plan and of course he freaked out.
